In 1974, after three years of construction, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas moved into this group of new buildings sourrounding an open plaza. The tall building on the left is the McDermott Administration Building. (In 1987, the name of the campus was changed to The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, to reflect its origins as Southwestern Medical School.)
